What is Group Spiritual Direction?
A Spiritual practice where a small group of individuals comes together to explore and deepen their relationship with God through shared reflection and deep listening. The focus is on spiritual growth, awareness, and accompaniment rather than problem-solving or teaching.
About Group Spiritual Direction
- A small group meeting regularly.
- A spiritual director guiding the process.
- Sacred listening, where each participant is given time to share their experiences or questions while others listen deeply and prayerfully.
- Silence and reflection, honoring the presence of the Spirit.
- Discernment, where the group helps the individual notice where God might be moving in their life.
- Praying together.
- Intentionality – The group meets with a shared spiritual intention.
- Confidentiality – What’s shared in the group stays in the group.
- Sacred Listening – No fixing, correcting, or offering advice. Instead, members listen deeply and may ask gentle, open-ended questions.
- Silence – Silence is a core part of the rhythm, creating space for Spirit to move.
- Equality – Everyone has a voice; no one is the expert on another’s spiritual journey.
- A safe and sacred space to reflect on your spiritual journey.
- Encouragement in times of doubt, change, or challenge
- Help in discerning life decisions or spiritual movements.
